What We Offer

Every business has statutory filing obligations to meet. At Simpler Accountants we have removed the stress of worrying about meeting these legal obligations by combining our statutory filing services into a range of Monthly Subscriptions, leaving you to relax in the knowledge that they’re taken care of, and enabling you to accurately budget for your essential accountancy costs, with a single manageable monthly payment so you can better manage your cash flow. The Monthly Subscription fee varies depending on your business size and structure. And of course, we offer all the additional accountancy services you would expect, any of which can be added to the Monthly Subscription to suit your requirements.

But our Monthly Subscriptions are about much more than simply meeting your statutory obligations. They bring real added value to your business, as you are investing in a value-adding partner you can call on, not just paying an accountant. Each of our Monthly Subscriptions (excluding Individual) includes our support and advice add-on, meaning that we are here to actively work with you, not just for you, to help drive the success of your business. And as the monthly payments for our Monthly Subscriptions, and any optional services added, are made automatically via Direct Debit, we even lighten the load a little here, as it’s one less manual payment for you to have to remember to make.

PAY-AS-YOU-GO

Most of our clients opt for our Pay Monthly Plans, as they help you to budget accurately and manage your cash-flow, without any unpleasant surprises come year-end.

However, we know that not everybody wants to pay monthly, and that’s fine. Most of the services we offer are available on a stand-alone, ad-hoc basis, meaning you are free to choose the ones that meet your requirements and we will simply invoice you for our fees once we have completed the work to our usual high standards.

We offer a full range of accountancy services, so if the service you
require is not listed, please do not hesitate to contact us to discuss your requirements.

The (not too) small print:

^We don’t like to limit the support & advice we give, however, this is subject to a fair usage policy. As each individual/business’s support and advice needs are different, we determine what constitutes fair use on a case-by-case basis.

^^Additional Directors/Officers Self Assessment Tax Returns available at additional, reduced (vs our standard Self Assessment Tax Return fee), cost. The included Self Assessment tax return is for the tax year in which the company’s financial year ends. For example, if your company’s financial year ends on 30 September 2024, the Directors Self Assessment tax return that is included would be for the tax year 6 April 2024 to 5 April 2025.

The monthly subscription is payable for your full financial year, so if you join us part-way through your financial year, we will simply add the appropriate number of months to your first payment. For example, if your financial year starts 1 June and you join us in September, your first payment will be for 4 months i.e. June, July, August, and September.

Any subscription price quoted is based on you doing your own bookkeeping to an acceptable standard i.e. keeping accurate and complete accounting records, unless you use our optional, time and money-saving bookkeeping service. If you are going to be doing your own bookkeeping and would like some advice about which software to use, we will be happy to discuss this with you.

Where we determine that the work required for us to deliver any service is non-standard (either in volume or complexity) we reserve the right to charge an additional fee. In all such instances, we will, of course, agree this with you in advance.

All Monthly Subscription fees are payable by Direct Debit. Where a Direct Debit payment fails, or is late, an administration fee will be charged (minimum £25).

Unless stated otherwise, any fees we quote do not include any third-party costs that we might incur, and these will be recharged to you accordingly.

We have a £100 minimum monthly fee requirement, excluding any third-party recharges, for incorporated companies.

Where it is determined on preparing the financial accounts that the company’s annual turnover for the period in question was outside of the threshold of the monthly subscription paid for, the fee differential between the annual subscription that should have been paid and the annual subscription that has been paid will be adjusted for on the next available invoice. This newly determined monthly subscription fee will then be applied moving forward, and any adjustment to the subscription fee paid to date for the current financial period will be included on the next available invoice.

Any changes to subscriptions or ongoing services that result in a monthly fee decrease require at least one calendar month’s notice.

Where a Monthly Subscription is cancelled, by you or us, 1 month’s notice is required (unless agreed otherwise in advance), and no refund of fees paid will be due, regardless of the reason(s) for cancellation.
